Alder Cones (50g)

Cones of the Alder tree (Alnus Glutinosa), which  is a native British tree, produces  lightfast colours without a mordant from yellowy brown through to a rich brown. The cones were foraged in North Wales. Boil until the required depth of colour is reached, which may take several hours. No mordant required.
