The Purple and Orange Pot

Every year I experiment with new combinations of dyes in my solar pots  and every year I find there are one or two that really give me a thrill. This was one of them . It gently cooked throughout most of the spring and summer of 2021. , producing purples, oranges and a soft orange brown to my surprise.  These are four dyes in this pot , which makes it more unpredictable but to my mind more fun.

It may seem an odd time to year to put new solar kits on my website , as I write it is a dull rainy day in October , but solar pots make brilliant Christmas Presents and if you do start one now just leave it a little longer till it has had a blast of sun in spring 2022.

Colours are rich purples, orange  and brown.. The sample pot in the  had only just been started so the oranges had still to appear.

A leaflet with instructions for  an alternative method of dyeing with a waterbath is also included in the kit
